From Calgary Sun:

Jamie Kennedy Tour hits Coyotes July 12
Kennedy takes on all comers at Stampede

Stu Stone and Jamie Kennedy have a question, which could mean many different things and elicit many responses depending on how charitable the person being asked is feeling at the time.

“So what’s up with the Calgary Stampede?” Stone asks.

“Yeah?” Kennedy says.

Well, before reaching for the pat reply of “horses and carnies” or “office drones and alcohol” Stone whittles it down to exactly what he’s looking for.

“Are people going to be into this or what?” he asks.

“Are people going to be there in cowboys hats and stuff? You think we’ll actually get some people in Calgary that can come up and rap?”

What the Toronto-born, songwriter/actor who’s appeared in films such as Donnie Darko and Joy Ride is referring to is the upcoming Jamie Kennedy Tour, which hits Coyotes July 12.

The show, which will actually be the first for them, will feature comedy bits as well as the pair bringing audiences members up to freestyle rap-off against actor/comedian Kennedy, who will be playing off his hopelessly white gangsta wannabe character featured in the film Malibu’s Most Wanted.

It will also feature material from the duo’s forthcoming album, which Stone describes as being made up of “rap songs, skits, crank calls —”

“A little polka,” Kennedy interjects.

“There’s no polka on this particular collection,” Stone says, “but we’re hoping to do some in the future.”

The disc, tentatively scheduled for later this year, will also feature guests such as Cypress Hill and JC Chasez from *NSYNC.

But the one guest that’s been drawing a great deal of attention is former Full House actor Bob Saget, who appears on the hilarious Rollin’ With Saget, which features Saget giving his straightlaced family image a complete vivisection by dropping f-bombs, drinking, smoking dope, pulling a piece and hitting on models.

“A lot of people don’t know Bob Saget the way we know Bob Saget,” says Stone.

“Bob’s crazy,” chimes in Kennedy.

If radio won’t touch it, fans can hear it at, where they can also sample another track from the pair called Stalker Song, a story of star obsession which is apparently has its roots in actual experiences living in the limelight.

“I’ve lived it man, I’ve lived it,” says Kennedy, best known for his role in the Scream films.

“This one guy gave me a picture of himself in front of his fireplace completely naked with a shotgun in his hands and was like ‘I love you.’

“I put it on my fridge — the guy that loves me’s got a gun, the guy that loves you has what? Flowers and chocolates?
